Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Kadir bin Hj. Sheikh Fadzir was born on 4 Jun 1939 in Baling, Kedah. He finished secondary school in Sultan Badlishah School, Kulim before assuming various professions, starting as a teacher, clerk and then joining the Malaysian Diplomatic Service.
He had 2 postings overseas as Third Secretary at the Malaysia High Commission in Karachi, Pakistan in 1964/1965 and at the Malaysian Embassy in Saigon, Vietnam in 1966/1968. He then resigned from the Government Service and went on to London to study law.
He qualified as a Barrister-at-law at Lincoln’s Inn, London in 1969. While in London, he became the first President of the first UMNO Club overseas, UMNO London. He also launched a magazine for the Malaysian Law Society U.K called “KANUN”. He returned to Malaysia in 1970 and practiced Law in Kuala Lumpur and Alor Setar, Kedah.
In between these periods, Tan Sri also gained experience as a property developer having developed more than 10,000 units of various types of houses and related infrastructure works all over the country.
Meanwhile, he reactivated his political career which started in Baling in 1956 and held positions in UMNO, the ruling party in Malaysia, and rose up fast through the ranks, holding various senior positions at Divisional, State and Federal levels, until he became a member of the Supreme Council of UMNO for more than 26 years.
He became a member of the Malaysian Administration in 1970 starting as Political Secretary, then Deputy Foreign Minister, Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister, Deputy Human Resource Minister, Deputy Home Affair Minister before being elevated as the Minister of Culture, Arts & Tourism in 1999.
In 2004, he was moved to be the Minister of Information Malaysia. In 2006 he resigned to go into the private sector.
He was elected as a Member of Parliament for 30 years(1978-2008) at the Kulim/Bandar Baharu Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Kedah.
Born in Kuala Lumpur in 1979, Meor Huzarin Sazali bin Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Kadir is a Honours Degree graduate of Toulouse University, France in Hospitality Management and Marketing.
He brings several years of experience with some of the largest and most well-known tour operators and leading companies in the country. In 2004, Meor Huzarin was responsible for sales and business development for Ken Air Leisure(KL). In 2006, he joined H.I.S Travel Sdn Bhd where he was responsible for business development for the leading tourist agency and consultancy.
He is also the Managing Director of KSF Holdings Sdn Bhd where he is responsible for overseeing the overall operations & business development of Sari Pacifica Hotels & Resorts Management Sdn Bhd & other companies within the KSF Group.
Born in Kuala Lumpur in 1981, Meor Zed Zulkifli is responsible for overall Group operations- overseeing the management of Sazean Development Sdn Bhd, KSF Engineering Sdn Bhd and KSF Trading Sdn Bhd. Meor Zed holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Advertising & Media Studies from Thames Valley University, London.
With his passion for property development, Zed also holds the position of Executive Director of Sazean Development Sdn Bhd, and Managing Director of KSF Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd. Before joining the property development industry,
Zed was part of the Ogilvy Group- one of the world’s leading integrated marketing companies. Where his primary role saw him working as a marketer and brand specialist for a range of local businesses and multinational brands.
